Robin David Segal, better known by his stage name “Robby Benson,” is a well-rounded American entertainer who has also dabbled in directing, producing, writing, performing, and teaching. Benson was a teenager when he learned he had a problem with one of his heart’s valves. In 1984, this resulted in the need for four heart operations. He also participates in fundraising efforts for cardiac research activism. Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a technique that Benson uses.
