In the 1970s, Boone recorded primarily religious music, but he did have a few minor country singles (on Motown, of all labels), and in 1977, his daughter Debby had a number-one hit with the wedding standard “You Light Up My Life.” In addition to his extensive humanitarian work, Boone released Pray to Win in 1981 and has since had a long-running contemporary Christian syndicated radio program.
