Hubert Davis was born on May 17, 1970. He is a collegiate basketball coach in the United States. He is also a former professional player and now serves as the head coach of the men’s team for the North Carolina Tar Heels. When questioned about becoming the first black head coach at the University of North Carolina, Davis created public discussion by declaring that he is pleased to be African-American as well as proud that his wife is white during the press conference in which he was hired as the basketball coach at the University of North Carolina.

After Davis finished playing, he worked for ESPN as a college basketball commentator during the 2007–2008 season. Davis has been with the network ever since. While he worked for ESPN, he participated as a panelist on the show College Gameday. He worked as a studio commentator for the network’s college basketball coverage.
