American actor, writer, artist, and advocate for children Roscoe Hunter Orman was born on June 11, 1944. He is most known for his role as Gordon Robinson on Sesame Street, considered one of the show’s primary human characters. Orman debuted in the theater in the topical revue “If We Grow Up,” which occurred in 1962 as a student at the High School of Art and Design in New York City.
