“Wild World” was also inspired by her. She was a member of the Factory scene at Warhol’s Factory throughout the time she was away from him for periods of time, pursuing her modeling career in Paris and New York City. She said in a longing tone that she had heard the song “Lady D’Arbanville” in an interview with Warhol:

The song “Lady D’Arbanville” was written by Steven about the time that I moved to New York. I went away for a month; quitting my job wasn’t the worst thing that could have happened, was it? However, he based the whole song on the lyric “Lady D’Arbanville, why do you sleep so still.” It has to do with my demise. Therefore, for him, the time I spent in New York was equivalent to the time I spent laying in a grave… He wrote it because he was feeling low and lonely without me, and he missed me. The song is quite depressing.

Later in life, D’Arbanville was romantically involved with the actor Don Johnson from 1981 to 1986. Jesse Wayne Johnson, who was born on December 7th, 1982, was the child of the marriage.
