Michael Therriault is an actor who hails from Canada. He received his education at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto and Sheridan College in Oakville. He participated in the first season of the Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training in Stratford, in the Canadian province of Ontario.

After working in the classical repertoire for seven seasons at the Stratford Festival, Therriault decided to pursue a career in musical theater. He made his debut as Leopold Bloom in a Toronto production of The Producers, but the show had a short run. A Dora Award for Principal Actor in a Musical was given to Therriault in recognition of his performance.

Therriault found out he had been cast as Gollum in the Toronto premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Musical when he was performing in a production of Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway. As a result of his performance, he was awarded his second Dora.

An announcement on April 27, 2009, revealed that Therriault would play the role of Irving Berlin in The Tin Pan Alley Rag. Michael Boatman would play the role of Scott Joplin in the production, which revolves around an imagined encounter between the two famous artists. Roundabout Theatre Company will be putting up The Tin Pan Alley Rag in New York from June 12 to September 6 in, 2009.
