American actor Tim Allen is one of the most well-known performers and authors in the country. After years of toiling as a stand-up comic in Los Angeles comedy clubs and appearing on low-budget cable series and television advertisements, Allen finally got his big break with the ABC sitcom “Home Improvement.” Allen’s acting career began during the show’s eight-year run, and he is now a well-established Hollywood actor and comedian as a result. In 1984, Allen married his longtime girlfriend Laura Diebel; by 2003, he and Laura had filed for divorce, and they had a daughter named Katherine.
