Ronald Joseph Radke was born on 15 December 1983, in St Rose Hospital at Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States. When he was still a child, his mother left the family, and he spent his childhood living with his father, his grandmother, and his older brother. Because of the financial situation of his family, he endured a number of challenges when he was growing up. As a young lad, Radke pursued his love in music by teaching himself to play the guitar and the piano. He still plays both of these instruments today. Because of the intense passion he had for music, he was forced to sneak out of the house in order to join his very first band. In the course of his time spent in high school, he was a member of a number of bands and performed in a wide range of shows at a variety of locations.

He also developed friendships with a number of different musicians during this time period. Some of the early songs he composed during his adolescent years are ‘Beside the Issues’ and ‘The Worst Time’. In 2004, Ronnie Radke established the band ‘Escape the Fate’ which also included Max Green, Robert Ortiz and Omar Espinosa. After winning a radio competition in which My Chemical Romance served as judges, they were able to kickstart their career. Late in 2006, Radke made the decision to start a new band after experiencing some personal difficulties related to his previous band. Behind the Walls is the name of the band that he created with the assistance of his good buddy Nason Schoeffler. After some time, the name was changed to “Falling in Reverse.”

In 2008, Radke was placed behind bars after being apprehended, and he served some of his sentence. He was let go in the month of December in 2010. He got back to work with Falling in Reverse, and on July 26, 2011, Epitaph Records issued the band’s debut album, titled “The Drug in Me Is You.” He has since resumed his work with the band. The album reached its highest position on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States at number 19. In his early ensembles, Radke honed his skills on both the piano and the guitar. He started off by playing guitar covers of Blink-182 songs. “Dammit” was the first tune he was able to play successfully. He established multiple bands while in high school. According to Radke, his first band, 3.0, which he played in with his friend Mitch and was called “sounded precisely like Blink 182,” so he moved away from home to pursue his musical career. He lived with Mitch and his mother for a time. They performed a few gigs in Las Vegas at a variety of locations, including the Chain Reaction and the Huntridge, among others. After the band, Radke moved back in with his dad, re-entered school, and dropped out again. He remarked in an Alternative Press interview, “I just couldn’t for some reason pay attention; I just daydreamed about everything else but what I’m meant to be doing.”

In his interview, Radke mentioned that the name of the second band he was a part of was Lefty. Radke met Max Green (from the band Almost Heroes) at a talent event. During their performance, Radke’s microphone dropped to the ground, and Max picked it up for him. As a result, the two of them became fast friends and went on to establish the band True Story, which released a demo recording that included the song “This Is Not the End.” After hearing Thrice, which served as inspiration for Radke to start screaming in the band, Radke eventually started singing, and Escape the Fate was gradually formed.

In 1998, Radke penned “Listen Up!” along with “Besides the Issues” and “The Worst Time,” both of which were also published. The tracks “Listen Up!,” “The Worst Time,” and “The Departure” were all recorded by Radke in 2001, and they were produced in collaboration with his friend, the producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette.
