Nikki Sixx

Nikki Sixx, the band’s creator and lead bassist, is at the helm of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. Sixx has made it onto the list of the “100 Most Influential Musicians of All Time” due in large part to his wild antics onstage. His professional career got going when he was only 17, and he has since risen to become one of the most revered bassists in heavy metal all around the world. His career began when he joined a number of Los Angeles-based bands. The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star, and The Dirt, his autobiography, both became New York Times best-sellers in addition to his musical career.

The morning radio shows “Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx” and “The Side Show Countdown” is currently hosted by him. Besides being a musician, he is also the designer and owner of the apparel label Royal Underground. This brand’s concentration was initially on menswear, but it has since branched out to include women’s apparel as well. A string of dead-end occupations was how he made ends meet before he found success in the music industry. But his true calling was in songwriting, and he always envisioned assembling the ideal “theatrical” band, so the name “Mötley Crüe” was born.

Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna, better known as Nikki Sixx, was born on December 11, 1958, in San Jose, California to a single mother named Deana Richards. His mother abandoned the family when he was young, and his grandparents ended up raising him for a while. He had a nomadic life, constantly uprooting from one town to the next, and it was in Jerome, Idaho, where he first started breaking into houses, shoplifting, and dealing drugs. During this time, he picked up bass guitar skills and adopted the stage moniker, Nikki Sixx.

He came to Los Angeles when he was 17 and did various jobs, such as selling vacuum cleaners and stocking booze. His interest in music led him to sign up with the band Sister. He and fellow bandmate Lizzie Grey were let go after recording a demo together but before the album was released. As a unit, they debuted as the band London in 1978. He left the group not long afterwards.

After leaving, he recruited Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, and Vince Neil to form the band Mötley Crüe in 1980. Too Fast for Love, their debut album, was recorded the following year and published under the band’s own record label, Leathür Records. The band’s second studio album, titled “Shout at the Devil,” was released on September 26, 1983. This album catapulted the group to widespread national prominence. The band released many albums between 1985 and 1989, including the critically acclaimed Dr Feelgood and the experimental Theatre of Pain.

At this time, the band was at the height of its success, but Sixx had developed a heroin addiction and had already spent time in treatment. Their greatest hits album, titled “Decade of Decadence,” was published on October 1, 1991. After hiring John Corabi in 1992, the band released its self-titled album the next year before dismissing Corabi the following year. The band’s sixth heavy metal album, titled “Generation Swine,” was released in 1997. Tommy Lee departed the group after two years and immediately created the touring band Methods of Mayhem. In his stead, Randy Castillo has been hired.

The group released an album in 2000 named “New Tattoo,” which featured reworked versions of all of their previous singles. Sixx’s best-selling book The Dirt was published the following year, establishing the band as “the world’s most renowned rock band” in the process. In the year 2000, he established project ’58,’ an online alternative initiative. Along with Dave Darling, Steve Gibb, and Bucket Baker, he co-founded the company. Two singles, “Piece of Candy” and “Diet for a New America,” were released in tandem with the debut album. Sixx and Tracii Guns founded “Brides of Destruction” from 2002–2004 to fill the void left by the Mötley Crüe’s breakup. Their CD, “Here Come the Brides,” was a smashing success upon its release. After Sixx rejoined the ‘Mötley Crüe,’ the band decided to take a break in October 2004.

In 2004, the members of “Mötley Crüe” got back together. After two years, the original members of the band got back together for a tour.
His autobiography, “The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star,” was published in 2007, thus he formed the band “Sixx: A.M.” in 2006 to record an audio supplement for the book. They announced the inaugural “Crüe Fest” in 2008, including Sixx’s side project “Sixx: A.M.,” together with Buckcherry, Papa Roach, and Trapt. Saints of Los Angeles was their tenth studio album, released in the same year.

On February 8, 2010, he debuted his own radio show called “Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx,” which was broadcast on all major rock and alternative radio stations. The programme was shifted to the morning time slot two years later. He also has a weekend radio show called “The Side Show with Nikki Six,” which he hosts in addition to this one. Too Fast for Love is Mötley Crüe’s first studio album. The album initially came out in 1981 on Leathür Records but was reissued the following year by Elektra Records. The RIAA certified it platinum, and it peaked at number 77 on the Billboard 200.

With over 6 million copies sold, it went Gold in the States and was certified as such in the UK. Both the “Dr Feelgood” and “Kickstart My Heart” singles were considered for a Grammy. Sixx’s band, “Brides of Destruction,” only has one album on the Billboard 200, but it is their debut, “Here Come the Brides,” which is widely regarded as their best.

Nikki Sixx contact

To make ends meet, Ferrara took on the stage name Nikki Sixx after a string of unsuccessful careers and bands. Sixx began honing his songwriting abilities because he intended to form the definitive “theatrical” band of the 1980s, a kind of throwback to early 1970s glam with a heavier edge. In 1981, Sixx assembled his dream lineup for his band, which included guitarist Mick Mars, drummer Tommy Lee, and singer Vince Neil. They became Mötley Crüe, and they quickly became a phenomenon on the Sunset Strip.

The Crüe originally released their self-titled first album on their own independent label (Leathür Records) in the same year before being signed to Elektra, who swiftly remixed and reissued the album the following year. Following the success of their albums like 1983’s “Shout at the Devil” (the band’s best hour), 1985’s “Theatre of Pain,” and 1987’s “Girls, Girls, Girls,” Mötley Crüe became one of the most popular hard rock/heavy metal bands in the world and inspired many imitators.

Sixx’s personal life was unravelling despite his professional success; he often overdosed on strong drugs and appeared to have a morbid fascination with death (he was even pronounced dead by paramedics after one ordeal, but was lucky enough to be revived with adrenaline shots). While Sixx contributed his creative talents to the albums of other rockers (Lita Ford’s Lita, Steve Jones’ Fire and Gasoline, and Alice Cooper’s Hey Stoopid), the band as a whole cleaned up their act for 1989’s Dr Feelgood, their most successful record to date. The band continued with John Corabi when Vince Neil abruptly resigned in early 1992 when they were at the height of their fame. After the new Crüe’s 1993 self-titled album failed commercially, Neil was welcomed back into the fold, and the band recorded 1997’s Generation Swine as a reunion album.
