Nigella Lucy Lawson is a food writer, journalist, and broadcaster from the United Kingdom. Lawson is the daughter of former Chancellor of the Exchequer Nigel Lawson and Vanessa Salmon, whose family founded the J. Lyons and Co. business empire.

Lawson’s school years were difficult; she had to transfer nine times between the ages of nine and eighteen, spending some of her childhood in the Welsh town of Higher Kinnerton.
