The Nickelodeon television series Unfabulous, in which Hagan starred as the mother of Emma Roberts’ character Addie, ran from 2004 to 2007. She has also appeared in a number of television shows, including Charmed, Bones, Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Ghost Whisperer, Cold Case, Private Practice, The Closer, and NYPD Blue.

She has also appeared in a number of films, including Charmed and Bones. Hagan also had a special appearance in an episode of the Disney Channel comedy Liv and Maddie in 2009, as well as in the Disney Channel Original Movie Princess Protection Program in 2009. In 2014, Hagan was cast as the mother of the main character in the CW series iZombie, which is based on the DC Comics character of the same name.

She went on to feature in a number of television shows, including Jane the Virgin, The Orville, No Good Nick, and Truth Be Told, where she had recurring roles. As part of the NBC limited series Law & Order True Crime in 2017, she was cast as the main character’s mother in the crime drama Walker, which premiered in 2020 and will be a season-long regular in the CW crime drama Walker.

Walking Dead actor Matt Barr, who portrays Hoyt Rawlins on The CW’s Walker, has been hired as another character with the same name in the forthcoming Walker: Independence spinoff sequel.

In the series, which will take place in the 1800s and follow the rich Abby Walker after her husband is killed in front of her while on their trek out West, Barr will portray Hoyt Rawlins, according to Deadline. A desire for vengeance leads Abby to meet Hoyt, a lovely renegade on the lookout for meaning in his life. They become fast friends and ultimately marry.

Abby and Hoyt go on a journey to Independence, Texas, where they encounter a broad and eclectic mix of inhabitants who are all fleeing their terrible pasts and pursuing their own aspirations. As the world around them shifts, Abby and Hoyt find themselves acting as agents of change in a community where nothing is quite what it seems to be first.

A gambler and bandit by the name of Hoyt, he is characterized as “cocky,” “confident,” “brash,” and “a little reckless.” He’s been having an affair with Lucia Montero, the rancher’s daughter, but after meeting Abby, his wandering eye becomes laser-focused in one direction. Recognizing Abby as a law-abiding person, Hoyt understands he has a lot to learn from her, believing she can assist him in transitioning away from the life of an outlaw and into a life of fighting for truth and justice.

It is not yet known how these people are connected to those who appear in the current-day narrative of Walker, but given their similar names, it is reasonable to presume that they are related in some way. Molly Hagan portrays Abeline Walker in the 2020s-set Walker, while Barr represents Hoyt, Abeline’s son Cordell’s closest friend and the father of Cordell’s son Cordell (Jared Padalecki).

From a plot co-written by Seamus Fahey and Anna Fricke, Seamus Fahey penned the pilot script. Besides directing the film, Larry Teng will also serve as an executive producer with Fahey, Padalecki, Fricke, Laura Terry, Dan Lin, and Lindsey Liberatore on the project.

Barr is arguably best remembered for his roles as Danny McNamara in the CBS action-adventure series Blood & Treasure and as Johnson “Johnse” Hatfield in the History Channel’s Hatfields & McCoys. He also appeared in the film Hatfields & McCoys as Johnse Hatfield. His other television and film credits include Commander in Chief, One Tree Hill, Harper’s Island, and Hellcats, among others.
