Drake

On October 24, 1986, Aubrey Drake Graham was born in the city of Toronto, which is located in Canada. His mother, Sandi Graham, was an English teacher and a florist, and his father, Dennis Graham, was a drummer who worked for the famed singer Jerry Lee Lewis. He was named after his father. He comes from an unusual racial and religious background, having been born to an African-American Catholic father and a white Canadian Jewish mother. His parents met and married in Canada. According to him, he is “more engaged in black culture,” and the fact that he is Jewish is a “nice twist.”

After his parents’ divorce when he was 5 years old, he was brought up in Toronto by his mother. He is now a successful businessman. Drake travelled to visit his father in Memphis, which is where his father had landed after returning to the United States. He spent his early youth in the working-class district of the city, which was located near Weston Road. When he was in the sixth grade, his family relocated to Forest Hill, a more prosperous neighbourhood in the city. He graduated from that school.

It was selected as the “Best Album of the Year” by a number of different publications. The album was certified platinum in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada after it achieved sales of more than 1.78 million copies in the United States alone. Up to this point, Drake has triumphed in four of the thirty-six categories in which he was nominated for a Grammy. In 2013, his album titled “Take Care” was awarded the title of “Best Rap Album,” and in 2017, his single titled “Hotline Bling” won two prizes.

After dropping out of Forest Hill Collegiate Institute and Vaughan Road Academy, where he had been a student during his high school years, Drake eventually earned his diploma and graduated from high school in 2012. Early on in his life, he was exposed to challenging situations. His ailing mother struggled to feed the family, and he had to deal with bullying in his largely white school due to the fact that he was the only black Jew there.

His father was detained while trying to cross the border. After the father of one of Drake’s friends, who was also an acting agent, offered him a part in the Canadian teen drama series ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’ in 2001, Drake began his career as an actor. A total of 145 episodes were filmed with him assuming the part of Jimmy Brooks, a former basketball player who is now confined to a wheelchair. Over the years, he has acted in a variety of different television shows, such as “Soul Food,” “Being Erica,” and “Sophie.”

Drake shot to stardom after the release of his first studio album, titled “Thank Me Later,” which debuted at No. 1 on the “Billboard 200” list in the United States. The album was certified platinum in both the United States and Canada after it achieved sales of 1.83 million copies there. His second studio album, titled “Take Care,” likewise made its debut at No. 1 on the “Billboard 200” chart in the United States, selling more than 631,000 copies in its first week of release. The United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada all awarded the album a Platinum certification. His third studio album, titled “Nothing Was the Same,” was met with praise from music critics and was also successful commercially.
