For six decades, Donny Osmond has been in show business, making his mark in practically every industry of contemporary entertainment, from song to theatre to film to radio to television. He’s proven that a singer may grow and mature as a performer while maintaining the wholesome, family-friendly reputation that’s always been part of their public profile by having a strong and versatile voice fit for contemporary pop and Broadway.

Donny Osmond’s well-scrubbed good looks made him a popular adolescent heartthrob in magazines like 16 and Tiger Beat, and the Osmonds appeared frequently in these publications due to the popularity of their well-crafted records and energetic live acts. Donny’s debut solo song, “Sweet and Innocent,” was published by MGM in 1971, capitalizing on this. On the Billboard pop charts, it reached number seven, while the follow-up, “Go Away, Little Girl,” topped the charts.
