Dee Wallace

Originally from Kansas, Dee was educated at the University of Kansas and was a former ballet soloist before breaking into the film industry in the mid-1970s. Through her roles in several well-remembered horror and science fiction films, Dee quickly developed a cult following among fans of fantasy films and television shows.

Deanna Wallace commonly known as Dee Wallace Stone, is an American actress who has appeared in a number of films and television shows. Mary Taylor, the mother in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), is possibly her most well-known performance. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Maxine (née Nichols) and Robert Stanley Bowers. She is also known by the stage name “Foallace.”

She attended Wyandotte High School before transferring to the University of Kansas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education.
