She attended West Virginia University, Florida State University, and the University of Central Florida before graduating. She studied theatre and television production, but she didn’t feel she had learned anything about humour until she moved to Los Angeles and studied at the Groundlings Theater.Lisa Kudrow was her first teacher at the school. She honed her improv skills and began writing comic routines. Her preparation for the character of Larry David’s wife on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm was aided by this experience (2000).

The second season of “The Flight Attendant” has here, and while the ride through these eight episodes was a little bumpy, the snacks were delicious, and the view from the window seat was lovely and clear. So apparent, in fact, that I could predict the ending even before we took off. Despite the predictability of the murder mystery plot line and the unnecessary goofiness of Cassie’s other selves appearing on her shoulders like little blond devils,
the season’s heart, which dealt with a woman’s struggle with sobriety and her inability to love herself enough to not self-sabotage everything healthy in her life, was powerful. After the person who was mimicking Cassie in an attempt to frame her for numerous murders turned out to be Grace (Mae Martin) in last week’s episode, we were given some hasty information that hinted that Grace wasn’t working alone in her espionage.
We learn early in the finale that Dot (Cheryl Hines), the CIA director in charge of Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) and her handler, Benjamin (Mo McRae), was the Big Bad all along, as we had feared. That revelation, like most of the other attempted twists and turns in this “mystery,” is more of a “yeah, we knew that” than the “holy s**t” that was undoubtedly meant.
Cheryl Hines was terrific in the role of Dot, despite the fact that we could see her coming. The actress has had a difficult year, having been dragged through the mud as a result of her husband Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s anti-vaccine rants and bizarrely insensitive Anne Frank comments, but she has publicly stated that she does not share her husband’s beliefs, and thus deserves to bask in the huge win of this role, which, in my opinion, should have been given far more screen time.
We get confirmation that Dot was the one who orchestrated Cassie’s takedown, as well as a slew of other loose ends being sewn together in quick succession. Grace was recruited by Dot, who she met while in the military, when she was taken from the military into a new, potentially even more perilous job as a spy/assassin. Were they a couple? This seems to have been hinted at, but the showrunners were scared to confirm it. Another opportunity squandered.
