Annie Wersching was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Her mother ran a flower shop. In her hometown, she went to Crossroads College Preparatory School for high school. Wersching competed in Irish dancing as a child and was a member of the St. Louis Celtic Step dancers. She earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University in 1999.

Wersching revealed her pregnancy on March 6, 2010. On August 8, 2010, she and her husband, actor/comedian Stephen Full, welcomed a baby boy, Freddie Wersching Full, in Los Angeles, California.
