In 2004, Ubach acted opposite Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris in the film Waiting…, and in Meet The Fockers, she played a Latina maid/caterer (2004). She also appeared in Hung (2009) and Californication on many occasions (2013).

On Bravo’s first scripted series, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Ubach co-stars alongside Lisa Edelstein as a regular cast member. Ubach plays Jo, a woman who relocates to Los Angeles to reinvent herself in the guest home of her recently divorced college best friend, Abby. The program is “fun and fashionable, and it’s extremely relatable,” according to Ubach. Following Janeane Garofalo’s departure, the position of Jo was established.

In June 2008, Ubach appeared in and narrated Patriotic Bitch, her continuing one-woman performance at the Clurman Theatre in Theater Row. The New York Times said in its review of Patriotic Bitch that it “can’t stand a candle to the very finest of the genre,” but that it was an “entertaining one-act sequence of character monologues” and that Ubach was “really accomplished.”

“EUPHORIA explores the adolescent world of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day living with empathy and honesty, putting a novel twist on the coming-of-age tale.” The story follows Rue Bennett (Zendaya), a 17-year-old heroin addict fresh out of rehab who is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. When she meets Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), a trans girl who just relocated to town after her parent’s divorce and, like Rue, is looking for her place in the world, her life changes significantly.

Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), a jock whose anger issues mask sexual insecurities; Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie), Nate’s on-again girlfriend; Chris McKay (Algee Smith), a football star who finds the transition from high school to college more difficult than expected; Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney), whose sexual history continues to haunt her; Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow),

In addition to Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly and Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson, you’ll see Richard Kind as Rudy Giuliani and John Lithgow as Fox News CEO Roger Ailes in the world of “Bombshell.”

But it’s Alanna Ubach, who plays Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, who makes the most effect with the least amount of screen time. She is an Ailes supporter, and Pirro confronts Kelly in one especially heated encounter over her unwillingness to publicly back their troubled boss.

Ubach has a well-known face from sitcoms like “Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce” and “Coco,” as well as a well-known voice for her part as Mama Imelda. She’ll next be seen with Kim Cattrall in the Fox comedy “Filthy Rich.”
“I was called into just another audition,” Ubach says, “and I had no clue who Jeanine Pirro was at the time.” I just had 24 hours to bring her back to life. I recognized Jay Roach from ‘Meet the Fockers,’ so I decided to go all out if he was going to be there. False eyelashes, pantyhose, a push-up bra, chicken cutlets, and hooker heels were all on. I went to the city.

“The advantage of portraying a famous person in 2019 is that all you have to do is Google them and watch videos.” I spent hours watching her film. Then I watched this TMZ video of her being harassed at the airport, and I realized who she truly was behind closed doors. It would come off as extremely ‘SNL’ if I simply portrayed celebrity Jeanine Pirro, the one who does interviews. The screenplay was written by Charles Randolph, and we’re curious to see what she’s like behind closed doors. So, thank you, God, for that video.
