Alan Tudyk was born in El Paso, Texas, to Betty Wiley and Timothy Nicholas Tudyk on March 16, 1971. He had his early schooling at Plano Senior High School then went on to study acting at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas. He received an Academic Excellence Award from Lon Morris College and opted to continue honing his skill. He enrolled in the Juilliard School in New York City but did not finish his studies. He went on to Lon Morris Jr. College to study theatre in 1990. He received the Academic Excellence Award for Drama when he was there. Alan Tudyk attempted stand-up comedy but gave up after receiving unfavorable feedback from the crowd. He subsequently moved on to acting, debuting in the drama film ’35 Miles from Normal’ in 1997.
