Aidan Turner is an Irish actor best known for playing Kili in the ‘The Hobbit series. He began his acting career in the theatre, playing major parts in theatrical plays mostly produced by The Abbey, Ireland’s national theatre.
In 2005, he made his acting debut in the Barbican Theatre’s stage production of ‘The Plough and the Stars,’ as Corp. Stoddard. In 2007, he made his television debut as Bedoli in the first episode of ‘The Tudors,’ albeit he was not given credit for the part.

Aidan Turner was born in Dublin, Ireland, on June 19, 1983. His father works in the electrical industry. He attended Firhouse Community College and St Mac Dara’s Community College.
He worked as an apprentice electrician for his father before enrolling at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, where he received his degree in 2004. He is a skilled Latin American and Ballroom dancer who competed in the sport early in his life.

In the meantime, there is a desire to portray various roles. That’s the life of an actor: you get so close to people for these little glimpses into their lives and short moments, and then they vanish and you go on to the next one, leaving you with nothing but memories, thank God. But no, “Being Human” is a project I’m incredibly proud of and pleased to have completed.
In the series, he has a minor part. He portrays Reverend Halse, a judge, in a minor but pivotal part. He’s a fantastic individual. I spent a few days with Robin, and he’s such a nice person, a genuine gentleman.

With a judge’s cape and wig on, Robin Ellis is looking down his glasses at the end of his nose at me, and I remember one scene where I lose it with him and I kind of call him out on what he’s doing and he’s unfair and he doesn’t know what he’s talking about and blah, blah, blah, and I march out of the courtroom.
I remember coming back into the studio after the first take, frightened because I’m shouting at Robin Ellis. When I returned, he just dropped his glasses, grinned at me, and gave me a thumbs up. I pondered, “God, the original Poldark is giving me a thumbs up. This is incredible.” That was beneficial to me
